WAVERLY — Senior Mike Atanasoff broke his third school record of the season, and fellow senior diver Gage Streeter broke his own school record in Waverly’s 114-56 win over Southern Cayuga in a battle of unbeaten IAC boys swim teams.
GROTON — The Waverly boys, led by freshman Zach Vanderpool, used balanced scoring to sweep Dryden here Thursday afternoon in IAC bowling action at Memory Lanes at the Corona Club, while the Lady Wolverines posted a sweep bowling unopposed.
WAVERLY — Junior linebacker David Hallett led Waverly’s defense in tackles, and was recognized Wednesday as a second-team all-state Class B selection by the New York State Sportswriters Association, while his teammate — senior wide receiver Jalen McCarty — received honorable mention recognition.
