JOHNSON, CHANDLER, MINAKER PACE WAVERY'S EFFORTS AT BOMBER INVITATIONAL

ITHACA — Sophomore Ralph Johnson logged Waverly's only win, and sophomore Micah Chandler had three top-four finishes to pace Waverly's efforts here Sunday afternoon at the season-opening Bomber Invitational at Ithaca College.

Johnson won the 55-meter dash in 6.86 seconds, and Chandler was fourth in 7.19 seconds.

Johnson finished third in the 300-meter run in a time of 39.17 seconds, and senior John Price was 12th in 44.6 seconds.

Chandler finished third in the 55-meter hurdles in 10.36 seconds. Chandler also finished third in the long jump with a leap of 18-feet, 5 1/2-inches.

Senior Hunter Elston was fifth in the shot put with a heave of 28-feet, 7 1/4-inches.

Senior Sam VanDyke finished seventh in the 600-meter run in a time of 1:38.35, and freshman Ethan Gorsline was 16th in 2:06.04.

Senior Gavin Schillmoeller was ninth in the 1,500-meter run in 5:30.67.

The 1,600-meter relay foursome of Johnson, Price, Schillmoeller, and VanDyke finished second in a time of 4:11.67.

GIRLS
Freshman Harper Minaker finished second in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 12:22.3, and 7th-grader Lauren Gorsline finished second in the 1,500-meter run in a time of 5:43.43 to pace the Lady Wolverines.

Eighth-grader Mira Kittle placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles in 11.09 seconds, and freshman Kiley Stillman finished fourth in the high jump at 4-feet, 4-inches.

Junior Kelsey Ward finished fourth in the 600-meter run in a time of 2:00.66, and 8th-grader Emma Vanderhoof was 14th in 2:33.77.

Junior Natalie Garrity finished eighth in the 55-meter dash in a time of 8.42 seconds. She also finished eighth in the long jump with a leap of 13-feet, 11-inches, and Ward was 11th at 11-feet, 10-inches.

Kittle finished ninth in the 300-meter run in 54.37 seconds, and freshman Kendal Shaffer was 10th in 54.48 seconds.

Junior Josie VanDyke was 11th in the 1,500-meter run in 6:31.37.
