SOUTHPORT — Olivia Switzer tossed a 1-hitter, and was 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Notre Dame to a 5-0 win over Waverly here Wednesday afternoon in IAC Large School softball action.

Payton Miller and Switzer stroked RBI singles in the bottom of the first inning to give Notre Dame an early lead.

Miller stroked another RBI single in the second inning to make it 3-0.

Lawson Bigelow’s drive over the right-field fence in the bottom of the fourth inning fave the Lady Crusaders a 4-0 lead, and Izzy Griffin added an RBI double later in the frame to provide the final margin.

Sophomore Michaela Lauper’s one-out single in the second inning was Waverly’s only hit of the game.
