QUAD-WINNER WHEELER PACES WAVERLY'S EFFORTS AT DIVISIONAL MEET

NEWARK VALLEY — Senior Caden Wheeler was a four-time winner to pace
Waverly’s efforts here Monday afternoon at the IAC South Large School
Divisional boys track & field meet.
Sophomore Treyton Moore, and freshman Micah Chandler were double-winners for the Wolverines.
Wheeler won the 100-meter dash in 11.8 seconds, while senior Ryan Lambert was third in 12.4 seconds, and Chandler was fourth at 12.7 seconds.
Wheeler won the long jump at 19-feet, 7 3/4-inches, and Chandler was third at 16-feet, 8 1/2-inches
Wheeler, teamed with Chandler, Lambert, and Moore to win the 400-meter relay in a time of 46.3 seconds.
Wheeler, Moore, and VanDyke teamed with senior Alex Gadow to win the 1,600-meter relay in a time of 3:51.0.
Chandler won the 200-meter dash in 24.6 seconds, while senior Sam VanDyke was second in 24.9 seconds, Lambert was third in 25.3, and senior Johnny Price was fifth in 26.7 seconds.
Senior Collin Wright won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:28.9.
VanDyke finished second in the 400-meter dash in 55.2 seconds, while Moore was third in 1:00.1, and junior Ryan Clark was fourth in 1:02.6. VanDyke finished third in the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches.
Clark finished second in the discus with a toss of 94-feet, 11-inches. He was fourth in the shot put with a heave of 30-feet, 10 1/2-inches.
Junior Gavin Schillmoeller finished third in the 1,600-meter run in 5:28.9. He finished fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:30.8.
Gadow finished third in the triple jump with an effort of 38-feet, 1 1/2-inches.
Waverly returns to action Friday at Corning’s Fast Time Invitational.
