
WATKINS GLEN EDGES WAVERLY BY 5 STROKES IN SEASON FINALE

WAVERLY — Watkins Glen pulled out a 190-195 win over Waverly here
Thursday in the regular-season finale for both IAC boys golf teams at
The Club at Shepard Hills.
Ben Swinnerton earned low-medal honors for the Senecas with a 44 on the par-37 front nine.
Jack Knight led Waverly with a 46, while Liam Traub shot a 48, Declan Murphy carded a 50, and Aidan Westbrook added a 51.
Hunter Elston and Davis Croft tacked on non-scoring rounds of 52 and 53, respectively, for the Wolverines.
Watkins
Glen finishes the season at 8-2, tied atop its division with Tioga,
while Waverly wraps up the 2021 campaign with a 6-4 record.
Waverly and Watkins Glen will both return to action next week at the IAC golf championships at Soaring Eagles Golf Course.
