WAVERLY SNAPS SKID WITH SWEEP OF WATKINS GLEN
 

WAVERLY — Waverly swept Watkins Glen to snap a four-match losing streak here Monday night in IAC South Large School Division volleyball action.

The Lady Wolverines, now 6-9, won by scores of 25-13, 25-14, and 25-13.

Sophomore Paighten Streeter led Waverly with 13 service points, including six aces, three kills, and two digs, while freshman Lillie Kirk had 12 points (two aces), nine digs, and two kills, junior Michaela Lauper had nine points, 12 setter assists, nine digs, and three kills, and 8th-grader Brilynn Belles had five points and six digs.

Senior Derek Bartlett had five points, four digs, and one block in the win, while senior Sydney Nierstedt had four points, six kills, and two digs, sophomore Peyton Shaw had four points, five kills, and one block, and sophomore Erica Ryck added three points (three aces), two kills, three assists, and three digs.

Waverly finishes off the regular season Tuesday night at Watkins Glen.

JV: Waverly swept the junior varsity match by scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-12.

Maddie Farnham led Waverly with 14 points (five aces) and two digs, while Ashlen Croft had 13 points, including 11 aces, three kills, and three digs, and Maddy Olmsted had 10 points, including eight aces, four digs, and six assists.

Lainey Teeter had eight points (four aces) and two kills in the win, while Meghan Apgar added five points (two aces), and Natalie Lauper chipped in with four points (three aces), two kills, and two digs.
