WAVERLY TOPS NOTRE DAME FOR SECOND STRAIGHT WIN

WAVERLY — Jack Knight and Aidan Westbrook led Waverly to its second straight win — a 196-205 victory over Notre Dame — here Tuesday afternoon in IAC South Large School boys golf action at The Club at Shepard Hills.

Knight and Westbrook both shot rounds of 47, while Liam Traub carded a 48, and Davis Croft added a 54.

Hunter Elston had a 59 and Declan Murphy tacked on a 68 in non-scoring rounds.

Notre Dame’s Nate Murray fired the low-medal round of the day with a 45, and Jackson Potter shot a 46 for the Crusaders.

Waverly, now 2-1, travels to Odessa-Montour Thursday.

Tim Birney
