WHEELER, WILLIAMS LEAD WAVERLY IN 118-28 WIN AT DRYDEN
 

DRYDEN — Kaden Wheeler and Oscar Williams won four events apiece, and Liam Wright was a triple-winner to lead Waverly to a 118-28 win over Dryden in IAC boys swimming action.

Jerell Sackett, Ryan Clark, Ayden Johnson, and Dillon Madigan were double-winners for the Wolverines, who improve to 4-0.

Wheeler led a sweep in the 500-yard freestyle in a  time of 5:28.54, with Finn Williams second in 7:01.0, and Pan third in 7:04.4.

Wheeler also won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:07.6, and Clark was second in 1:10.91.

Oscar Williams won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.98 seconds, and Max Pan was third in 26.62 seconds.

Oscar Williams also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:01.97, and Sheldon Huddleston was third in 1:35.67.

Wheeler and Oscar Williams teamed with Madigan, and Johnson to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:50.18.

Wheeler teamed with Madigan, Johnson, and Pan to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:02.16

Oscar Williams, Sackett, Wright, and Clark teamed to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:35.06.

Sackett led a sweep in the 200-yard freestyle in a  time of 2:07.68, while Madigan was second in 2:11.25, and Howard Johnson was third in 3:08.6.

Wright won the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:29.35, and Finn Williams was second in 3:03.9. Wright also won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:04.21, and Madigan was second in 1:04.92.

Clark won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 53.98, and Sackett was second in 54.72 seconds.

Waverly returns to action Friday against Southern Cayuga.

MODIFIED
Waverly’s Aiden Clark won a pair of events in the modified meet, and teammates Nate Peters and Jason Marrone each notched one win.

Clark won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:40.49. He also won the 50-yard butterfly in a time of 37.62 seconds.

Nate Peters won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 32.45 seconds, and Riley Pipher was third in 36.56 seconds.

Marrone won the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 43.43 seconds, and Pipher was second in 49.3 seconds.

Chris McIntosh finished third in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 2:19.3.
