HOUSEKNECHTS LEAD WAVERLY SWEEP OF NEWARK VALLEY
 

NEWARK VALLEY — Junior Victoria Houseknecht and sophomore Rachel Houseknecht paced Waverly to a sweep of Newark Valley here Thursday afternoon in IAC Large School Division girls bowling action at Cardinal Lanes.

The Lady Wolverines won two of the three game by 200-plus pins, with the closest decision at 97 pins in a 2,288 to 1,673 total-pinfall victory.

Victoria Houseknecht shot a 516, and Rachel Houseknecht, who had the high game in the match with a 191, rolled a 508 to pace Waverly, while junior Shatilly Decker had a 445, freshman Serenity Conklin added a 433, and senior Sage Garrison tacked on a 386.

Alyssa Brown led Newark Valley with a 466.
