
KITTLE, DeSISTI LEAD WAVERLY TO 57-34 WIN OVER SOUTHERN CAYUGA

AURORA, N.Y. — Freshman Mara Kittle was a quad-winner, and senior Sophia
DeSisti won three events to lead Waverly to a 57-34 win over Southern
Cayuga here Tuesday afternoon in IAC girls swimming action.
Freshmen
Sophia Lee, Emma Vanderhoof, and Lizzy Robinson, and 7th-grader Lauryn
Welles were double-winners for the Lady Wolverines, who are now 4-0 on
the season.
Kittle won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:07.28. Kittle
also won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:04.22, and senior Josie
VanDyke was second in 1:24.74.
Kittle and DeSisti teamed with Welles and Lee to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:53.6.
Kittle teamed with Vanderhoof, Robinson, and Welles to win the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:02.18.
DeSisti teamed with Robinson, Vanderhoof, and Lee to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:41.91.
DeSisti won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:00.4, and Lee was third in 1:08.82.
DeSisti finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:13.88, and Robinson was third in 2:33.94.
Vanderhoof finished second in the 200-yard IM in 3:04.06, and Lee finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in 28.53 seconds.
Welles finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:28.97, and Vanderhoof was third in 1:41.65.
Waverly returns to action Oct. 4 when it hosts Notre Dame.
