LARGE SCHOOL CHAMP WAVERLY SWEEPS EDISON

SOUTHPORT — Juniors Zach Vanderpool and Ashton Pritchard led Waverly to a
sweep of Edison here Tuesday afternoon in IAC boys bowling action at
Dixie Lanes.
The IAC Large School champion Wolverines wrap up the
regular season at 51-1. They will bowl two more matches for individual
scores only.
The Wolverines took the first game with a 1,123-799
decision, and followed it up with wins of 921-776 and 984-704 for a
total-pinfall victory of 3,028 to 2,279.
Vanderpool banged out a 650 series on games of 260, 174, and 216, while Pritchard rolled a 633 on games of 233, 179, and 221.
Senior
Cody Blackwell shot a 586 in the win, including games of 235 and 202,
while sophomore Trenton Sindoni had a 580, freshman Dom Wood added a
577, including games of 203 and 202, and junior Landyn Gunderson tacked
on a 425.
Zack Crown led Edison with a 578 series.
Waverly returns to action Thursday when it hosts Candor.
