ROBINSON FINISHES SECOND, LEADS WAVERLY TO THIRD PLACE AT LEAGUE MEET

WAVERLY — Freshman Breanne Robinson finished second to lead Waverly to a
third-place finish in the team standings here Friday in the IAC girls
golf championships at Tomasso’s Golf Course.
Robinson shot a 53
on the front nine, and a 50 on the back nine to card a round of 103 —
second only to Marathon’s Kate Anderson, who shot a 96.
Lansing
claimed the team title with a four-player aggregate score of 46, while
SVEC was second with a 483, Waverly tallied a 489, and Marathon was
fourth with a 506. O-M was fifth with a 524, and Watkins Glen was sixth
with a 616.
Freshman Lauryn DeLill shot a 120 for the Lady
Wolverines, while freshman Maddy Farnham carded a 132, and 8th-grader
Addison Hunt added a 134. Eighth-grader Sophia Sileo tacked on a
non-scoring round of 135.
Waverly returns to action Tuesday at
Willowbrook Golf Course, then plays in the Section IV Championships
Thursday at Soaring Eagles.
