WATKINS GLEN — Watkins Glen had four golfers in the 40s, and posted a
177-196 win over Waverly in IAC boys golf action here on a cool and
rainy Wednesday afternoon at the Watkins Glen Golf Course.
Georgia Fazzary shot a 40 on the par-36 course, while Daniel Ely fired a 43, Luke Spahalski carded a 46, and Ethan Carry had a 48 for the division-leading Senecas, who improve to 6-1.
Junior Joey Bernatavitz led Waverly with a 46, while senior Davis Croft shot a 49, junior Evan Davis carded a 50, and senior Jack Knight added a 51.
Senior Hunter Elston and junior Matt Atanasoff added non-scoring rounds of 53 for the Wolverines.
Waverly, now 2-5, takes on Notre Dame at Mark Twain Golf Course Friday.
