WAVERLY DROPS SEASON OPENER AT HORSEHEADS

BIG FLATS, N.Y. — All four of Horseheads’ golfer shot 48 or better to
post a season-opening, 177-237, win over Waverly here Friday afternoon
in Section IV girls golf action at Willowcreek Golf Club.
Breanna Robinson led the Lady Wolverines with a 48, while Lauryn DeLill shot a 59, Addison Hunt added a 64, and Sophia Sileo tacked on a 66.
Madalyn Farnham and Kami Perry recorded non-scoring rounds of 67 and 76, respectively.
Brooklyn Moffe led Horseheads with a 1-over par 37, while Ava Fairbrother fired a 45, Delaney Cook shot a 47, and Olivia Hatch added a 48.
Waverly returns to action Thursday at Willowcreek against Horseheads, Vestal and Corning.
