WAVERLY FINISHES THIRD AT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS

WAVERLY — Waverly finished third Saturday afternoon
at the IAC Bowling Championships here at the Valley Bowling Center.
Union
Springs / Port Byron claimed the team title with a three-game aggregate
total of 2,877, while SVEC was second with 2,554. Waverly tallied 2,363
pints, while Watkins Glen was fourth with 2,344, and Odessa-Montour was
fifth with 2,273. Tioga tallied 2,132.
Sophomore Rachel
Houseknecht led the Lady Wolverines with a 558 series on games of 185,
202, and 171, while junior Shantilly Decker shot a 549, including a 212
high game, and junior Victoria Houseknecht had a 493 series.
Freshman Serenity Conklin added a 418 series for Waverly, and 7th-grader Emily Houseknecht tacked on a 345.
Waverly returns to action Saturday in the Section IV, Class Championships at Midway Lanes in Vestal.
