WAVERLY SWEEPS NOTRE DAME

WAVERLY —  Junior Victoria Houseknecht led a balanced Waverly line-up in a sweep of Notre Dame here Tuesday afternoon in IAC Large School Division girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Wolverines opened with a 704-612 win in the first game, then closed out the sweep with wins of 753-670 and 754-722 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,211 to 2,004.

Victoria Houseknecht closed out her 508 series with a 200 game, while sophomore Rachel Houseknecht shot a 483, junior Shantilly Decker rolled a 441,  freshman Serenity Conklin added a 418, and senior Sage Garrison tacked on a 361.

Jade Nordin led Notre Dame with a 499 series.

Waverly returns to action Thursday when it hosts Newark Valley at the Valley Bowling Center.

Tim Birney
