WAVERLY SWEEPS SHORT-HANDED LANSING

WAVERLY — Junior Victoria Houseknecht led Waverly to a sweep of short-handed Lansing here Thursday afternoon in IAC Large School girls bowling action at the Valley Bowling Center.

The Lady Wolverines had a total=pinfall of 2,518, while Lansing, which had just three bowlers, tallied 1,178.

Victoria Houseknecht led Waverly with a 578 series, including a 258 in the second game, while sophomore Rachel Houseknecht shot a 539, and junior Shantilly Decker had a 509.

Freshman Serenity Conklin added a 464 series in the sweep, and senior Sage Garrison had a 416.

Kara Armstrong led Lansing with a 471 series.

Waverly returns to action Feb. 1 at Thomas A. Edison.

Tim Birney
