WAVERLY — Waverly won the first two games in a 3-1 win over Union
Springs / Port Byron here Tuesday afternoon in IAC boys bowling action.
The Wolverines won games by scores of 857-766 and 901-835, but the Wolves answered in the third game with a 972-860 win. Waverly held of for a total-pinfall victory of 2,618 to 2,573.
Junior Zach Vanderpool led Waverly with a 644 series on games of 158, 277, and 209, while freshman Dominick Wood rolled a 495, and sophomore Trenton Sindoni shot a 485.
Eighth-grader Derek Johnson had a 452 for the Wolverines, while senior Cody Blackwell added a 449, and junior Ashton Pritchard tacked on a 436.
Dylan Howell led U.S.. / PB with a 584, and Brandon Young added a 532.
Waverly returns to action Thursday when its hosts Lansing at the Valley Bowling Center.
