WAVERLY TOPS WATKINS GLEN, FALLS TO MARATHON BY 2 STROKES

MARATHON — Waverly split a pair of decisions here Tuesday afternoon,
beating Watkins Glen by 59 strokes, but dropping a 2-stroke decision to
Marathon in IAC girls golf action here at Maple Hills Golf Course.
Freshmen Breanne Robinson and Maddy Farnham shot matching rounds of 46 to lead the Lady Wolverines, while freshman Lauryn DeLill carded a 49, and 8th-grader Addison Hunt added a 56. Eighth-grader Sophia Sileo tacked on a non-scoring round of 57.
Savanna Warfield led Marathon with a 45, and Abby Ensign added a 46, while Haley Tuttle led Watkins Glen with a 57.
Waverly returns to action Friday in the IAC Championships at Tomasso’s Golf Course.
