WAVERLY, UNION SPRINGS / PORT BYRON BATTLE TO 2-2 DRAW

WAVERLY — Waverly won a pair of close decisions, but Union Springs /
Port Byron made up the difference in its one win to earn a 2-2 split
here Tuesday afternoon in IAC girls bowling action.
The Lady Wolverines won the first game 845-810, and the third game 836-825. In between, the Lady Wolves won the second game 837-725 for a total-pinfall victory of 2,472 to 2,406.
Junior Shantilly Decker led Waverly with a 579 series, including a 248 in the third game, while junior Victoria Houseknecht shot a 501, and sophomore Rachel Houseknecht had a 488.
Senior Sage Garrison rolled a 449 for Waverly, and freshman Serenity Conklin had a 389.
Jenna Jump led U.S. with a 545 and Gamily Casbarro added a 530.
Waverly returns to action Thursday when its hosts Lansing at the Valley Bowling Center.
