
CHANDLER, MINAKER, DAVENPORT PACE WAVERLY'S EFFORTS AT SECTION IV CLASSIC

ITHACA — Junior Micah Chandler, and sophomores Harper Minaker and Haylie
Davenport each had third-place finishes to pace Waverly’s effort here
Saturday at the Section IV Classic at Cornell University.
BOYS
Chandler notched three top-five finishes, and senior Kayleb Bechy added a pair of fifth-place finishes to lead the Waverly boys.
Chandler
finished third in the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 8.58 seconds. He
was fourth in the 300-meter dash in a time of 38.87 seconds, and senior
Treyton Moore was 13th in 40.46 seconds.
Bechy finished fifth in the 55-meter dash in a time of 6.77 seconds.
Chandler and Bechy teamed with Moore, and junior Charlie Larrabee to finish fifth in the 800-meter relay in a time of 1:40.18.
Moore finished 14th in the 600-meter run in a time of 1:37.17.
GIRLS
Minaker
finished third in the 3,000-meter run in a time of 11:49.95, and
Davenport finished third in the 1,500-meter race walk in a time of
8:59.71.
Senior Kelsey Ward was ninth in the 600-meter run in a time of 1:55.02.
Senior
Abigail Knolles finished 12th in the 300-meter dash in a time of 46.71
seconds, while senior Josie VanDyke finished 12th in the high jump at
4-feet, and freshman Mackenzie Chamberlain was 19th in the 1,000-meter
run in a time of 3:45.59.
Waverly returns to action Friday, Feb. 10 at 5 p.m. at the Section IV Championships at Cornell University.
