PRITCHARD, JOHNSON LEAD WAVERLY IN 3-1 WIN OVER NEWARK VALLEY

NEWARK VALLEY — Senior Ashton Pritchard, and freshman Derek Johnson
paced Waverly in a 3-1 win over Newark Valley here Thursday afternoon in
IAC Large School boys bowling action at Cardinal Lanes.
The
Cardinals won the first game 965-900, but the Wolverines bounced back to
win the next two games, 1,006-997, and 1,064-944, for a total-pinfall
victory of 2,970 to 2,906
Pritchard banged out games of 197, 204, and 277 for a 678 series, and Johnson rolled a 617 on games of 199, 248, and 170.
Senior
Zach Vanderpool shot a 559 series, while junior Carter Hayes had a 544,
freshman Tristan Campbell had a 540, and junior Trenton Sindoni tacked
on a 443.
John Fiacco led Newark Valley with a 692 series, ,and Tony Bukowski added a 591.
The Wolverines improve to 48-4 on the season.
Waverly returns to action Jan. 27 at Watkins Glen.
