
PRITCHARD, VANDERPOOL LEAD WAVERLY IN 3-1 WIN OVER SVEC IN BATTLE OF DIVISION LEADERS

The Wolverines opened with a 1,021-943 win, but the Eagles responded with a 968-932 win in the second game. Waverly closed out the match with a 949-928 win for a 2,902 to 2,839 total-pinfall victory.
Pritchard rolled a 654 series on games of 224, 205, and 225, while Vanderpool shot a 645 on games of 228, 216, and 201.
Freshman Tristan Campbell had a 569 series, including a 222 in the third game, while freshman Derek Johnson had a 526 series, senior Michael Cole added a 473, including a 207 in the first game, and junior Carter Hayes tacked on a 437.
In reserve for Waverly, junior Trenton Sindoni shot a 557, and senior Landyn Gunderson had a 478.
Matt Fitch led SVEC with a 613 series, and Kody Floyd added a 596.
Waverly improves to 55-5 on the season, and leads Newark Valley (49-11) by 6 games in the Large School standings.
SVEC is now 56-8, and leads Tioga by 12 games in the Small School title chase.
Waverly returns to action Wednesday against Tioga at the Valley Bowling Center.
