Coach Hogan was born and raised in Staten Island, NY but moved to Warwick, NY as a kid. She played recreational soccer since she was 5 and went on to play for various club teams for Warwick Valley. Coach Hogan played on her high school's soccer team from 2001 to 2004 as a starting midfielder/captain. Before those years, she was a varsity swimmer/diver as a middle schooler/high school freshman.
Coach Hogan has been coaching soccer for Waverly since 2009. She first coached the boys' varsity soccer team from 2009-2015. She has been coaching the girls' varsity team since 2015. She was also the girls' varsity track coach assistant for outdoor and indoor from 2009 to 2014.
Coach Hogan went to Saint Bonaventure University where she earned my Bachelor of Education with a dual certification in Early childhood education. She played division one soccer for Saint Bonaventure from 2005-2008 as a defender before she graduated in 2008. She stayed for an additional year and a half to earn her Masters degree in Literacy in 2009.
Coach Hogan currently teaches 6th grade at Waverly Middle School. She is about to start her 13th year in the district. Her husband, Dave Hogan, works as a phys ed teacher for our high school. He is also our outdoor varsity track and field coach (boys and girls). They met at SBU and have been married since 2010 with 3 kids (2 boys and a girl) and 2 rescue dogs.
