PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — After getting a taste of competing at the state level last year, Waverly's Sheridan Talada wanted more, so she set a goal of medalling at the NYSPHSAA Cross Country Championships this year.
BINGHAMTON — Waverly senior Sheridan Talada punched a return ticket to States, and her teammate and fellow senior Elizabeth Fritzen earned a bit of redemption and also qualified for the New York State Cross Country Championships here Tuesday afternoon with their performances at the Section IV, Class C meet.
MARATHON — Waverly had four runners finish in the top 20, led by runner-up senior Sheridan Talada, to finish third here Friday afternoon at the IAC girls cross country championships.
MARATHON — Waverly senior Sheridan Talada finished second in the rugged Seeded Division, and senior Elizabeth Fritzen finished in the top 20 here Saturday at the Marathon Invitational, and the remainder of the Lady Wolverines finished 15th in the Unseeded Division.
NEWARK VALLEY — Seniors Sheridan Talada and Elizabeth Fritzen turned in top-10 performances here Friday afternoon to help Waverly to a sixth-place finish in the annual Bob Greene Newark Valley Cross Country Invitational.
NEWARK VALLEY — Senior Sheridan Talada ran to a first-place finish, and led Waverly to a team title here Tuesday afternoon at the IAC South Divisional cross country meet.
